Woodstock Portraits
THIS MULTIMEDIA PROJECT reveals the untold story of how Woodstock revolutionized American culture, but not the way most people think. While the 1969 music festival that bears the Woodstock name became infamous, the colorful and intriguing story began over a half century earlier.

Wild Bohemian parties featuring nudity, open sexuality, men and women with flowers in their hair, communal living with equality for women – one might imagine this occurring in the hedonistic 1960s, but in fact they were an integral part of the Woodstock art colony that began in 1902 and laid the foundation for the Utopian philosophy and counterculture that took hold in the latter half of the century.
